Smile Sunshine
I originally made another card similar to this and used a wavy border die to cut out the center for the sentiment in addition to slightly darker shades of ink. However, I wanted there to be fewer layers so the card would be easier to view as a whole. I love the Petite Petals stamp set from Stampin' Up!. The sentiments are from A-Muse Studio Sampler Set One. I like to incorporate a lot of color when I'm utilizing negative space. Here, I've used Pear Pizazz, Pool Party, So Saffron, Regal Rose, and Smoky Slate inks with a masking technique to frame in the sentiment. By lightening up the ink a few shades I achieved the spring (instead of summer) palette I was looking for.
From Me to You - The Power of Two
I created this card using scraps that I had laying around my desk top. I am in LOVE with various shades of teal right now! The sentiment is from Stampin' Up!'s Yippee Skippee set. I embossed the Stampin' Up! Pool Party cardstock with the Beautifully Baroque embossing folder. The patterned paper and cream ribbon are store brand products. I'm hoping to make a slightly more macho version of this for my anniversary this year by switching up the color palette.

A "Whale" Lot of Fun!
Yesterday's "So Grateful" 4 card set was a simple project, so for today I decided to put layers to use in this "Best Wishes" card. The patterned paper is from the Fancy Pants Design company's Park Bench paper pack. The Happy Whale Clearlits die by Sizzix was used for the whale, water spurts and little fish. I won a pair of Fringe Scissors from attending a Stampin' Up! webinar as a new demonstrator, and I was really excited to use them to create the water feature in this card. I embossed my Whisper White cardstock with the Sizzix embossing folder Cloudy Day. The banner and sentiment are from WPlus9's Basic Banners coordinating stamp and die set. I love adding cute little touches, so the Googly Eyes I got from the Stampin' Up!'s Clearance Rack Blitz (still going, check here: Stampin' Up! Clearance Rack Blitz) were the perfect final touch. Have a blessed day!

So Grateful
This "So Grateful" card is a simple and quick project because it is my first set project, to which there are four cards. The inspiration for this card began with the Print Poetry DSP pack from Stampin' Up!, and the sentiment is from the WPlus9 stamp set Fanciful Feathers. A couple of rhinestones, adhere it all to a Whisper White cardstock base (Stampin' Up!), and voila! This would be a great project to CASE if you're new to the stamping world. I hope whoever these end up with will enjoy them just as much as I have enjoyed making them. Thanks for stopping by!
